They say that your olfactory system is the strongest sense for recall. And they are not kidding. Especially when it comes to Auntie Anne’s. Just saying the name “Auntie Anne’s” takes me back to my teenage years wandering the mall on weekends with that sugary-sweet smell.
Known for its freshly baked soft pretzels, ooey gooey dips, and refreshing lemonades, I can’t think of another store that has the same impact on customers when you first enter a space. I mean really, how many times have you walked into a mall, airport, plaza, or train station and immediately known that there was an Auntie Anne’s somewhere in the vicinity? You don’t even need to look at a map to figure out where it is, you just have to follow your nose.
Well, if the smell alone isn't enough to entice you to buy something, I just found out something else that might: Apparently in addition to their flavorful regular-sized pretzel offerings, Auntie Anne's also sells buckets of 90-100 pieces of pretzel nuggets starting at $19.99.
Yes, that's right. I'm just as shocked and excited as you are.
I was scrolling through Instagram recently and came across a post by togethxr raving about how Auntie Anne’s sells these large buckets of nuggets, which was quickly confirmed by Auntie Anne's Instagram account and their corporate site.
Most of the commenters I saw were also in disbelief. "I was pregnant when I discovered this. Best 20 dollars I ever spent. I cried when the Doordarshan man gave me the bucket," read one comment on the original Instagram post. Other commenters said the 100-piece bucket was more expensive around them, so it sounds like prices vary around the country.
As of this post, the five flavors they offer for the bucket are original, cinnamon sugar, pepperoni, mini pretzel dogs, and confetti nuggets. I was particularly intrigued by the confetti nuggets, which are baked with a buttery cookie crumble and rainbow sprinkles. Be still my beating heart!
With locations in all 50 states, and the holiday season just beginning, I can’t think of a better way to cut back on prep time than ordering a bucket of pretzels for either a savory appetizer or a decadent dessert!
