4 Questions With Cara
- One cookbook you couldn’t live without?
I'm currently loving Poppy Cooks’ Food You Need, not only because its shot incredibly by Louise Haggar, but also because the recipes are so delicious!!
- One food trend you love to hate or wish would just go away?
Freakshakes, they’re just insane to me, I feel like two sips and you’d be done. Although, part of me loves just how ridiculous they are, it’s like they’re almost in on the joke too.
- What do you listen to when you’re working?
Music-wise, I’m currently loving Midnight Sister, Cate Le Bon, but I also have a mixed playlist that’s constantly on rotation. I also listen to lots of podcasts, my forever favorite is Let’s get haunted, a paranormal/ comedy podcast.
- Words of advice to new food photographers?
Experiment as much as possible with lighting, composition and color. Be inspired by others but don’t compare yourself as that can be discouraging. Don’t limit your creative process and put yourself in a box based on what you think food photos ‘should look like.’ Do what feels good for you and let your creativity run free!
