This $24.99 Costco Item Is Flying Off the Shelves

When I think of Costco, the first things that come to mind are buying grocery items in bulk, paper products, and the food court’s Forbidden Glizzy. It wasn’t until recently that I even considered the store for clothing. And that was only due to scrolling through Reddit.

I came across a post about Costco’s logo hoodies and how they were incredibly soft, well-made, and were flying off the shelves. Always one to check out anything Costco-related (I’m becoming a huge stan), I grabbed my keys and headed to my local store to see what all the hype was about.

What’s So Special About These Hoodies?

When I got there, I searched through the clothing section, but to no avail. I stopped a Costco employee wearing one of the sweatshirts and asked them about the product. They said that the Costco logo sweatshirts (not to be confused with Kirkland’s Signature sweatshirts, which were also out of stock) flew off the shelves within two weeks. Two. Weeks.

The employee told me that the soft fabric, quality construction, and unique branding was something that Costco members were in love with. At $24.99, I can see why! In comparison to competitors like Columbia and Nike, where hoodies can retail for $35 to $65, this is a steal.

I did try another Costco location, but found the same to be true: no Costco logo sweatshirts were in stock. I spoke with another employee, and she confirmed what the worker at the first store said: Costco members are OBSESSED with these sweatshirts and they can’t keep them on the shelves.

While no one knew when the sweatshirts would be restocked, the second employee said that she’s seen a lot of people coming in asking about the product. Her advice: If you see the sweatshirt in your size, grab it. If you don’t like it, you can always return it. Otherwise, you run the risk of debating whether or not to get it, then when you come back, it’s no longer available. I couldn’t agree more!

Now, every time I step inside a Costco, I’m going to be keeping my eyes peeled for them. Here’s hoping corporate restocks them soon!
