Experience
Leah has spent over seven years developing and writing recipes, four of which have been for The Spruce Eats. While her love of cooking started at a young age, her passion for food, recipes, and cooking techniques flourished when she was in college at Marist; a two-mile jaunt from the Culinary Institute of America. It was this close proximity to the well renowned culinary school that inspired Leah to study abroad in Florence, Italy, where she trained in Italian and Middle Eastern Cuisine at Scuola Lorenzo de’Medici.
Over the years, she has enhanced her skills in the kitchen by catering private parties and leading cooking classes.
When she isn't writing for The Spruce Eats, you can find Leah on her blog, Mini Pie.
