The vibrantly-hued unicorn frappuccino was a viral sensation created by Starbucks and available for a limited time only. The sweet and tart beverage was made with a sour blue drizzle and a sweet, mango flavored milk blend. The drink became a social media-fueled sensation and solidified the unicorn trend in American food and beverage culture.

If you missed out sipping this viral treat when it was available in stores, now is your chance to make your own homemade version. The key to achieving that sweet-tart sensation at home is by using a blue raspberry drink powder mix. This powder is meant to be combined with water to create a flavorful beverage. However, using just the powder on it's own is perfect in this recipe because the powder is high in citric acid. When it isn't diluted in water, this gives the unicorn frappuccino the signature sweet-and-tart flavor combination. Of course, it also turns a vibrant shade of bright blue, just like the original. A bright blue syrup is first drizzled inside the serving glass so the color can be seen from outside the glass.

The pink sweet frappuccino is a milk base, blended with mango sorbet and frozen mango pieces. Pink food coloring is added to mimic the vibrant shade of the original. It is poured into the prepared glasses that have been drizzled with the blue syrup.

Finally, each glass is topped with a hearty amount of whipped cream and sprinkled with additional blue raspberry drink powder mix and pink sanding sugar.
