To segment an orange all you need is a chopping board and a sharp knife!
Carefully slice off the top…
and bottom of the orange so it has a flat base.
Trim downwards, to cut the peel away from the flesh…
repeat this around the whole orange.
Remove any remaining pith and discard the peel.
Using the knife, carefully cut either side of the membrane…
so that the segment comes out easily.
Repeat this step for every segment.
Since Pescetrian Pleasures doesn’t like to waste anything, the rest of the orange (which is still full of juice and fiber) can be used in a smoothie.
Use the segments on a salad or to top a desert.
